Aim. - To determine characteristic features of nontumor incidence among cohorts of recovery operation workers 1987, adult evacuees, affected children and adolescents considering risk factors; correlation and regression analysis of malignant neoplasm incidence among recovery operation workers 1986-1987; preparation of information and analytical materials on health status of recovery operation workers 1986-1987 and adult evacuees. Methods of investigation: epidemiological, statistical, psychological. Results. - In cohort of recovery operation workers 1987, characteristic features of nontumor incidence depending on age and time since radiation were established. In cohort of recovery operation workers 1986-1987 (as compared with corresponding age groups of Ukraine population), higher rates of selected cancer forms were proved. Comparative analysis revealed differences in the development of some classes and forms of nontumor diseases in adult evacuees with regard to age and postevacuation place of residence (supposedly "clean" or contaminated areas). Among affected children and adolescents, certain negative dynamics in health indices and dependence of some forms of nontumor diseases on psychological state were found. Information and analytical materials on health status of recovery operation workers 1986-1987 and adult evacuees, release bulletin on characteristics of malignant neoplasm incidence in population affected as a result of the Chernobyl catastrophe were prepared.
