The mechanism of regulating the relations in the sphere of nature use for the purpose of renovating the biodiversity is improved. The theory of the economic estimation of biological resources is worked out. The criteria of territory distribution are elaborated by means of using the up-to-date ways of research. The report on the scientific-research work: 85 p., 3 figures, 6 tables, 40 references. The object of research is the biological resources potential as the whole of elements of biodiversity and natural systems. The goal of the research is to form the system of the indicators of estimating the resources, natural complexes, territories of certain types and to improve the mechanism of regulating the relations in sphere of nature use. The ways of research are system approach, economic analysis. The results of scientific research work are the following: the financial-economic methods of stimulating the wild-life conservation are improved; the new methods of economic regulation of relations in sphere of wild-life conservation in accordance with the peculiarities of economic activity are proposed; the scientific-practical recommendations concerning the coordination of economic results of economic activity with its ecological consequences at macro- and microeconomic levels. The results of scientific-research work were used when calculating the biological resources potential of Sumy region and preparing textbook.
