The tested reagents are the wastes of the production processes of Titanium and Magnesium Plant of Zaporozhie (TMPZ). The materials comprise ferric and ferrous salts as well as magnesium and titanium compounds. Among the wastes of TMPZ the most effective for purification are D-reagent comprising 31 % of FeCl3 and 13,4 % of FeCl2 and B-reagent, comprising 6,2 % of FeCl3, 18,5 % of FeCl2 and 1,4 % of AlCl3. Efficiency of the reagents in the developed technological scheme of purification is proved, and optimal parameters of their using are determined. Besides that, recommendations on applying of both tested reagents and the technology of water purification at the system of water re-circulation at the railway transport enterprises are worked out.
