Purpose of the work: optimizing population medical exposure in Ukraine by means of determining the approaches to creation of the system of dosimetry quality assurance in radiation diagnosis and therapy. Methods of the research and equipment: ionization and thermoluminescent dosimetry, statistical analysis of dose load of medical personnel. The study was performed using universal dosimeter UNIDOS No. 10002 - 20360 with a kit of ionization chambers TW30001, TW30004, TW2342, multifunctional digital dosimeter 35050A with a set of aluminum filters for half-value layer measurement, ionization chamber 96035B, device for voltage measurement 35080/80A with a block of filters as a part of modern dosimetry complex TRIAD 10100A (USA), dosimeter DKS-90U. Results of the work and their novelty: the study of conditions of forming medical personnel doses at main types of x-ray diagnostic studies was completed, critical groups of personnel for obligatory IDC were determined. A project of technique for graduation of individual dosimeters in units of operation equivalent dose Hp(10) was worked out. Tests and forms of measurement protocols were worked out. Determining individual exposure doses in patients at different conditions was determined using thermoluminescent dosimeters and program ODS-60. For the first time, projects of techniques and projects of methodological recommendations on the control of physico-technical parameters of x-ray diagnostic units and control of irradiation doses of the patients using TL detectors and ODS-60 for creation of the system for dosimetry quality assurance in radiation diagnosis and radiation therapy were worked out.
