The list of basic polluting substances include the most widespread ones: nitrogen oxides, benz(a)pyrine, sulphuz dioxide, carbon oxide, ozone ets. The works done before on inventory of polluting emissions from coke production were reviewed. It has been found that basic sources of emissions are chimney stacks of coke oven batteries and boiler houses (75-80%), charging, pushing and quenching operations (10%).
