Head Toryanik E.I., Registration Date 05-02-2004 Organization Ukrainian State Researsh Institute for Carbochemistry popup.description2 In connection with the start-up of coke oven batter No.3 at the OJSC "Markokhim" two variants of coal blends were composed using the available raw material base for batteries No.1,3,5-8 taking into account the technical state nd technological potentialities of the batteries to provide battery No.3 with coal blend keeping a better blend for No.1 and required blend quality for the second block of batteries. Laboratory carbonisations allowed to determine an efficient variant of coal blend differenciation. Pilot carbonisations confirmed that high quality coke could be produced in the batteries of the works.The influence of coking period on the strength indiced of was investigated for coke from battery No.3 and the equations were obtained enabling to predict the M25 and M10 indices when changing the coking period.
