A multifactor experiment of the 2 type was planned and realized; input variables were the plastic layer thickness, mean reflectance value of coal blend and coking period duration, responce functions were the indices characterizing the properties of coke obtained. Laboratory cokes obtained from blends of different properties under varions carbonising conditions were investigated. As a result of experimental data the equations were compiled and cheked under industrial conditions to predict the quality of blast furnace coke depending on the poperties of coal blends and technological conditions of operation. To optimize the equations obtained the recommendations were developed on blends compositions and coking conditions required to produce coke with desirable combination of properties for blast furnace production. The efficiency of this work is ensured due to the increase of quality of blast furnace coke. the expected saving when implementing the resilts of this work is 1267,300 grivnas.
