The mechanical part of the electric filter was surveyed, electric characteristics of its fields were determined and the degree of dust catching was measured in them with the help of optical dustmeasure. The main reasons of unsatisfactory work of electric filter of the furnace № 2 are the high speed of gases in it and presence of numerous defects of the electrode system and stirring mechanisms. We develop technical decisions the realization of which will allow reducing the residual dust content of gases approximately by a factor of 3 along with recommendations to increase the efficiency and reliability of electric filter work.
