Work purpose - the research of characteristics and improvement of the testing procedures. Research methods - standardized methods of refractories research. A comparative analysis of testing methods and technical ceramics an accordance with international, interstate and national standards was carried out. It is noted that at present the festing methods of refractories and technical ceramics were introduced in the practice of the laboratory N 10 which were regulated by 5 International and 1 Europeon standards.The testing procedure for the gas impenetrability of sheaths of highrefractory silicon carbide containing products on the nitride binder - МИ 322-57-2003 was developed and metrologically certified. Metrological research of characteristics of 19 units of the testing equipment of the laboratory N 10 was conducted. The results of this research were introduced in the passport of the testing centre of O.J.S.C "The Ukrainian research institute named after A.S.Berezhnoy". In accordance with obtained results it is confirmed that the testing equipment corresponds to requirement of normative documents. Indicated testing equipment is metrologically attested. The testing plant for the determination of the refractoriness of high refractory materials and of the highest refractoriness. The power of Tamman electrical furnace was perfected in the testing set and the model of a black body and the flame fube produced from zirconium dioxide as well as pyrometer of spectral ratio Спектропир were used. The results of the research work are introduced in the work practice of the laboratory N 10 of the O.J.S.C. "The Ukrainian research institute named after A.S.Berezhnoy".
