The research methods - thermo - and physicomechanical, chemical and petrographical. An influence research of the composition on proporties of corundum siliconcarbide mix was carried out. An influence of addition into the mix of carboncontaining materials of regenerated silicon carbide as well as the utilization in the chemical composition of the blend of an ordinary corundum of O.J.S.C"Zaporozabroziv " manufacturing was determined. It was shown that the utilization of additions of carbon containing materials (graphitization wastes, oil coke, graphites and the utilization in the blend of regenerated siliconcarbide and ordinary corundum decreases indices of properties of corundum silicon carbide mix. An employment of the graphitization wastes up to 3% in the chemical composition of the blend makes possible to obtain properties which will in correspondence to the ТУУ 26.2-00190503-219-2003. Trial sample of mix was produced and its properties were determined: % AL2O3-81,2%; SiC-9,8; Fe2O3-0,7;compression strength after hardening on air up to 7 complete days - 18,2 MPa, compression strengt after firing at 1450oC - 35,5 MPa, stability to the melt of siliconcalcium, mm2 - no penetration. In accordame with a normed documentation in the conditions of trial manufacturing of O.J.S.C"The Ukrainian research insitute of refractories named after A.S.Berezhnoy" and in correspodence with acontract n 413-2003 trial lots of corundum siliconcarbide mix were produced. The work should be continued for the purpose of developing the manufacturing technology of thixotropic corundum silicon carbide mixes for the lining of ladles for a pouring of siliconcalcium.
