It is demonstrated that use of obsolete technologies and equipment leads to the creation of a significant number of pharmaceutical waste that created a potential danger for environment and health of population. Effectiveness of thermal methods (high temperature burning, pyrolysis) of rendering harmless of unqualitative medications in the industrial conditions has been studied.
