Static strength calculations were carried out for the most stressed casing members. Pressure developed in the pump and tightening force for detachable joints were taken into account in calculations. Strength estimation was carried out by means of comparison of design stresses, accepted groups of stress categories with corresponding allowablle stresses. As a result of calculations pump strength and seismic stability designing for NPP "Bushahr" in Iran have been confirmed. Specifications for motor and pump automatics have been developed.
