Sulfate activation by using insoluble anhydrite thermoactivated at 450°C as modifying additive was founded to have significant effect. Modification of fly ash - cement compositions with silica additives is supposed to be expediently only in the case of their amount of 25% in portland cement composition. It is caused by peculiarities of hydration process: being modified by sulfate anions, increased amount of calcium hydroxysilicates loses ability to polymerization and does not take part in synthesis of artificial stone's strength. The systems developed were founded to be able to structural and functional adaptation by variation of lime-to-silica ratio. Thermal treatment's influence on structure formation process as well as on mechanical properties of artificial stone made on fly ash-cement compositions modified with active mineral additives was studied.
