The method of research. The problem of calculation of RF field in coaxial gyrotron cavity (the piece of a weakly inhomogeneous coaxial waveguide with corrugated inner conductor) is considered in the frame work of rigorous approach. This problem is identically reduced to a singular integral equation on the interval, for which the effective direct numerical methods of solution are just well known. In difference from traditional approaches to the problem of modeling such devices used abroad, the proposed method allows us to decrease the dimension of a problem, reducing it to seeking the function of one variable. This allows us to substantially increase the accuracy of numerical modeling and to find the occurring the resonant effects, which are principal in development of such devices as microwave oscillators. Proposed metods of numerical modeling are based on deep research in the field of boundary value problems of mathematical physics and modern methods of numerical integration in development of which there is a substantial contribution of specialists from Kharkov National University. AS a result of the work the mathematical model of gyrotron has been created. The numerical experiments for two main types of high power gyrotrons working on the modes TE31,17 and TE34,19 , have been conducted. The resonant frequencies and quality factors as well as distribution the field inside the coaxial gyrotron cavities, including region near corrugations, have been computed with desired accuracy.
