The aim of the work was to elucidate the hormonal signal transduction peculiarities and forming of adequate response in target tissues at different periods of ontogenesis and at action of nitric oxide and CCl4 on organism. The methods of implantation of electrodes into brain structures and self-stimulation of brain; methods of chromatography and radiolabeled precursors were used. It has been determined that nitric oxide donors administration to rats led to the rapid increase of glucose content in blood serum, content of glycosylphosphatidylinositol and decrease the lisosomal cathepsin activities in rat liver. Nitric oxide enhanced the effect of insulin on glucose and metgemoglobine changes in blood, diminished gluthation-stimulated cathepsin activity and hydrocortisone-induced accumulation of spermine and spermidine contents in rat liver. The prominent age peculiarities of nitric oxide action on hormone signal transduction has been found. CCl4 administration to animals also caused increase in nitric oxide production and accompanied by age-dependent acute liver injury and signaling molecules (ceramide and diacylglycerol) accumulation in rat liver. Flavonoids completely abolished the CCl4-induced disturbances of lipid metabolism.
