The goal of the project is to investigate the general rules of variation of phase conditions of single and multi- layer metal films versus their characteristic size and preparation conditions. Research methods. The films were prepared by condensation in vacuum. Their structure was explored by high-energy electron diffraction and transmission elec-tron microscopy methods.The eutectic point for Sn-Al binary alloy has been refined with the usage of differential method of temperature measurement. It has been revealed that the melting point of Al/Sn/Al system decreases with the decrease in Sn film thickness. Main results were obtained for the first time. Their actuality is governed by both the necessity of understanding of physical processes occurring in low-dimensional systems and wide application of nanoobjects in modern technologies.
