Head Dziak Liudmila Antonivna, Registration Date 12-05-2004 Organization Dniepropetrovsk State Medical Academy popup.description2 The study of the efficiency of the application of mud-peloid of the Dead Sea for rehabilitation treatment of patients with the diseases of spine and locomotor system with the aim of the elaboration of adequate rehabilitation complex with the application of medicated mud of the Dead Sea for groups of patients mentioned above. During the investigation period 72 patients were treated. The treatment course length was 2-3 weeks. Applications of medicated mud of the Dead Sea were used as monotherapy or were combined with other methods of physiotherapeutic treatment: paraffin-ozocerite applications, diadynamic currents, magnetotherapy, etc. The efficiency of treatment was determined by the dynamics of locomotor function, neuritic syndrome (when it occurs). In 8 cases there was no evident dynamics, in other cases we had regress of all syndromes mentioned above to some extent. Moreover, the course of the application of mud of the Dead Sea proved to be equally effective both in combination with other kinds of physiotherapeutic treatment and without them.Thus, the efficiency of the usage of the course of medicated mud-peloid of the Dead Sea was proved in the complex of rehabilitation treatment of patients with the pathology of spine and locomotor system.
