Work purpose - putting into production the manufacture technology of low cement alumina spinal castable. Research methods - chemical, petrographical, physicochemical. Inductrial tests of developed in 2003 in O.J.S.C."Ukrniio named after A.S.Berezhnoy" of low cement alumina spinal castable were carried out in the bottom lining of steel ladles at one of metallurgical plants of Ukraine. It was ascertained that during an employment of trial castable results were obtained that are comparable with foreign analogues. Comparable investigations on ascertainment of organic fiber of different dispersivity and different dispersing additions on properties of low cement alumina spinel castable were carried out. In accordance with research results on the permeability and moistureseparation at drying the utilization possibility in the composition of low cement alumina spinel castable of organic fiber was confirmed. This fiber is characterized by minimum density and ensures the highest level of castables permeability. With a regard for negligible increase of strengh properties of samples from trial composition of castables mixes containing alumina of different dispersivity as well as taking into account a cost increase of castable during the subshtution in its composition of a vibrocast alumina for expensive dispersive aluminas the nonadvisability of their emploiment was revealed. An employment possibility of dispersive additions Castament FS-10 and Castament FW-10 equally with dispersive additions ADS-1 and ADW-1 was shown. As a result of carried - out investigations optimum composition of aluma spinel low cement castable was chosen as well as its properties were determaned. A claim for supposed invention was handed in. In accordance with requirements of normative documentation at the pilot scale production of O.J.S.C."Ukrniio named after A.S.Berezhnoy" the manufacture of the low cement castable was organized. The work should be continued for the purpose of subsequent perfecting a manufacture technology of low cement castables with the object of optimizing service properties of linings to be made from them.
