Work purpose - putting into production in conditions of O.J.S.C"Ukrniio named after A.S.Berezhnoy" of the manufacture technology of dry corundum mix of improved composition. Research methods - chemical, petrographical, physicomechanical and thermomechanical. An influence of aluminas of different extent of dispersivity (СТ 3000SG, CTC 30, CT800SG) and alumina magnesia spinel of AR-78 brand on properties of dry highrefractory corundum mix was researched. An employment possibility in the composition of CK brand corundum mix the reactive alumina of CTC-30 brand was revealed that makes possible to increase the compression strength of samples produced from it by 30% and to slow down the slag impregnation by 10%. The advisability of employment of alumina magnesia spinel of AR-78 brand in the composition of corundum mix was ascertained that increases the slag resistance by 34,6%. In conditions of O.J.S.C"Ukrniio named after A.S.Berezhnoy" the technology manufacture of dry corundum mix of improved composition with a finely milled component containing the mixture of alumina of ГK-2 brand and electrofused corundum was put into production. In accordance with requirements of a functioning normative documentation at the scale-pilot production of O.J.S.C"Ukrniio named after A.S.Berezhnoy" trial lots of dry corundum mix were produced. The work should be continued for the purpose of perfecting a technology of corundum spinel mix which should provide for an increase of its sintering extent for the expense of using dispersive materials and binders.
