Work purpose -the technological process development for the manufacture of corundum carrier of a catalyst of methane vapour conversion with increased strength and the manufacture of trial lots.Research methods - chemical, spectral, petrographical,roentgenphase, physico-mechanical.An influence of binding additions on properties of a carrier and optimum composition of combined binding solution for the preparation of plastic mix of a carrier was studied. Drying and firing processes were researched and the technological processes were determined that makes possible to produce the catalyst carrier with comprossion strength 45,8 - 48,5 MPa at the waterabsorbtion 21,5 - 22,1 %. An influence of different types of aluminas and sintering aids on properties of a catalyst carrier samples was investigated as well as laboratorial samples of a carrier were produced. It was established that an itroduction of additions CaO, MgO and ahighalumina cement in the standard blend results in increasing a mechanical strength when preserving high values of waterabsorbtion. Investigations on the plasticity determination of moulding alumina mixes were carried out. A structure - mechanical type of mix according S.P.Nichiporenko in conformance with the first type was determined which is favourable for shaping of products . The research of reological properties of mixes was carried out as well as guantities characteristics of the main elastic-plastic-viscous properties were computed. The search investigations were carried out and samples of a catalyst carrier of the oxidation process of ethylene with a waterabsorbtion 30% and bulk density 0,8 g/cm3 were produced. Trial lots of corundum carrier of KHKK brand catalyst with indices of properties were produced and delivered to customer. Prognosis assumptions on the development of the research object are followin-the work should be continued for the purpose of subsequent improving the manufacture technology of corundum carrier of the methan vapour conversion as well as expanding of volumes introduction and developing technologies of new types of a catalyst carriers.
