Work purpose - perfection and improvement of alumina ceramics with an additive of ZrO2 and manufacture of trial lots of products. Research methods: chemical and spectral analyses, optical and electronmicroscopy, determination of pH using pH - meter pH 673, determination of a specific surface of powders by means of BEТ, standard procedurs of open porosity determination and apparent density. As a result of carried out work the manufacture technology of alumina ceramics with an additive of ZrO2 was put into production and implemented at the pilot scale production of O.J.S.C."Ukrniio named after A.S.Berezhnoy". In accordance with a worked -out technical documentation trial lots of products with increased compression strength ( 400 - 450 MPa) and thermal shock resistance ( T 200 - 230 o C) in the service were produced. As a result of carried out tests using of perspective alumina corundum ultradense product with additives of 5 and 10% ZrO2 asa tubes in infraredheating sets, crucibles for melting palladium at 1700o C as well as construction elements in conditions of tensile loads at 300 K and 77 K. Investigations on temperature influence of preliminary firing of alumina impregnated with acqueous solution of zirconium salt on its properties have been carried out. The possibility to decrease alumina firing temperature from 1550 up to 1400o C was ascertained. The work should be continued for broadening of employment fields of alumina ceramics with an additive ZrO2 as well as investigations on a ball milling of alumina with additive of ZrO2 thermotreated at temperature 1400o C; fitting and of elecrolyte for the purpose of obtaining a green body with density not less than 2,85 g/cm3.
