Work purpose - technology finashing of mullite corundum castable mix with a low cement content and the manufacture of trial lots. An influence research of alumina of brand ГК-2 and reactive aluminas of "Almatis" company, brand CTC 30, CTC 40, CT 3000 SG on properties of mullitecorundum castable was carried out. The possibility to lower the content of highalumina cement of 2 brands ВГЦ-73 and CA 270 in the blend composition of mullitecorundum castable was researched. Testing results allowed us to determine that the decrease of cement ВГЦ-73 content by 5 % does not influence practically on the service properties of castable. Optimum composition of mullitecorundum castable mix was determined. A trial sample of a castable was produced as well as its service properties were determined. It was ascertained that obtained products are in line with technical requirements of functioning ТУУ 26.2.00190503-236-2003. At the pilot scale production of O.J.S.C."Ukrniio named after A.S.Berezhnoy" trial lots of mixes of mullitecorundum mixes of МКБГС brand were produced and delivered to a customer. The work should be continued for the purpose of carrying out industrial tests of mullitecorundum castable mix with reduced content of cement in linings of tuyere of devices of blast furnaces.
