The purpose of work: technology refinement and a periclase-lime-carbonic refractories release in the pilot-production plant of OJSC "The Ukrainian Research Institute of Refractories named after A.S. Berezhnoy"; industrial test operation. Methods of research: light microscopy, chemical analysis and physico-mechanical test. The released pilot batch of periclase-lime-carbonic refractories has passed tests and the researches of refractories after service have been carried out. The influence of CARBORES P (Rutgers Co) synthetic pitch on periclase-lime-carbonic refractory properties both after heat treatment at 220 оС and after coking firing at 980 оС has been analyzed. The technology of manufacturing periclase-lime-carbonic refractories with lowed carbon content on the basis of domestic dolomite, imported low-toxic phenol-formaldehyde pitches, and synthetical pitch has been improved. The critical parameters of developed refractories have been specified as well as the technological parameters of manufacturing have been set. The refractories having ultimate stress -118-119 N/mm2 , open porosity - 3,8-4,4%, apparent porosity - 2,76-2,81 g/cm3 have been obtained. The developed refractories are intended to use in lining elements for different metallurgical aggregates which contact with principal clinkers. The obtained results can be used under the turnout of periclase-lime-carbonic refractories pilot batches in OJSC "The Ukrainian Research Institute of Refractories named after A.S.
