Research purpose: evaluation of available tourist resources, development prospects of sustainable tourism in the Donetsk region. Research methods: formal-logical modeling with using system approach and operations research in the recreational activity. Obtained results: method of evaluation of recreational territories with usage of points evaluation considering weight coefficients developed at DITB allowed to perform comparative evaluation of all tehe recreation zones; weigth coefficients usage detailed complex evaluation of the territory by 70 parameters allowed to obtain significance of point indexes for development of investments expediency in optimization of recreational territiries. It was pointed out that the most prospectivefor the recreational systems research are evaluation systems, particulary raiting management which allow at the insignificant input of starting information to obtain integral evaluation of large-scale processes in the tourist-recreational activity.
