Karazin popup.description2 The quasioptical waveguide resonators, the methods of shaping of the output radiation beams with the uniform intensity profile, the transverse mode selection methods are the object of the investigations. The purpose of work is theoretically and experimentally to carry out investigations of the laser resonators containing waveguide and open parts and to establish requirements of for-mation in such resonators of the given distribution of output intensity and single-mode radia-tion. Metall waveguide resonators with parts of the free space between a section of a waveguide and mirrors and dependence of losses of the lowest modes for metall waveguide resonators from a relative position of a waveguide and mirrors are investigated. Requirements of imaging of an input field distribution at excitation of the metal circular and rectangular waveguides by radiation in the form of Gaussian beams of the basic order with flat phase front are determined. The construction of the waveguide resonator with the nonuniform amplitude-stepped mirror, which provide the obtaining of uniform field on an output of the resonator is proposed and realized. Numerical and an experimental study of influence of the resonator geometry and parameters of its amplitude-stepped mirror on spatial and energy characteristics of an analysed Fourier-mode is carried out. The investigation results can be used at designing and making waveguide lasers with the output uniform profile of intensity, and also wide-range single-mode lasers of a submillimeter wavelength.
