Karazin popup.description2 The object of research - a complex of written, colloquial and statistic origins and literature about Slobidska Ukraine's history and culture in 18 - 21 centuries. The aim of research - analysis of theoretical - methodological aspects of Slobidska Ukraine's identity, of world outlook and mythological the national-cultural identity components; creation of methods of empirical research the national-cultural "contact zone" identity, analysis of preliminary results. Methods - systematic-structural and intercultural analysis of Slobidska Ukraine population's national - cultural identity and self-consciousness phenomenon and other forms of human self-definition; historical-typological (finding cultural and historical counterparts), comparative, historical -chronological and semiotic methods. The analysis of contemporary "contact zone" identity consist of quantitative (statistic) and qualitative (content) methods (on the materials of first courses students' interrogation). Results of scientific research - 23scientific articles were prepare for publication, 21 scientific articles were published dealing with Slobidska Ukraine's problems; international scientific symposium "Border studies: historical and cultural-anthropological aspects" was organized, material of symposium are being prepared for publication; V.Pototskij was awarded candidate degree for the thesis "Religious sectarianism in Kharkiv gubernia (1861-1917)" (scientific adviser - V. Kravchenko).
