Karazin popup.description2 The main aim of the project: to conduct theoretical and experimental investigation of the ex-cited state proton transfer (ESIPT) reaction and its influence on the spectral parameters of the phototautomeric forms of several amino-imino coumarins, 3-hydroxychromones and benzimid-azoles/oxadiazoles of the chain structure. To investigate the excited state structural relaxation of the sterically hindered bis-benzazolyl-benzenes. To synthesize new fluorescent probes with the enhanced spectral parameters, prospective to their practical application in biochemistry, bio-physics and medicine, basing on the preliminary study of the ESIPT reaction mechanism. Methods: Organic synthesis. Absorption and emission electron spectroscopy. NMR spectros-copy. Quantum-chemical calculations.: Several new compounds with intramolecular hydrogen bond were synthesized. The ex-cited state intramolecular proton transfer reaction was studied in the series of benzimidazole, oxadiazole, 3-hydroxychromone. Quantum-chemical modeling wasmade. Correlations between the molecular structure of the studied ESIPT-compounds and the rates of the most important primary physico-chemical photoprocesses determining the spectral properties of the investigated compounds were established.
