Subject of research: impact of alteration in ownership (appropriation) and power relationship on social class changes. Aim at the second stage of research: data analysis of structural changes in Ukraine compare with Poland, Czech Rep., Hungary and Russia; definition of similar and peculiar characters in the changes; methodology and cross-tabs data analysis of symbolic manifestation in social mediums in which social class formation process takes place. Analysis of original scientific publication reflected impact of structural peculiarities on social class alterations in ex-socialist states during the end of 1980th - beginning of 2000th period has done. Statistic and comparative survey data analysis devoted to features both of privatization and changes in power relationship in different post-communist countries realized. Variables both of convergence in nominal and real identification processes and of life styles as factors of structuring and differentiation processes in social mediums and classes have defined; data collection and systematization on these variables has done. Data base are G.Evans and H.Whitefield' surveys in Ukraine (1993, 1995, 1998), national survey (leaded be O.Kutsenko, 2000), cycle of original surveys conducted by Kharkiv University' Sociological research department in Luganskaya oblast (2003-2004). Mid-term research results are generalized sociological and statistic data on the topic; defined regularities in social structuring process under state socialism transformation and peculiarities of social class changes in Ukrainian society; specified methodology of the future in-depth analysis of social classes' active and symbolic manifestations. Received results allow to continue the final research stage aimed on definition of specific social class interests in Ukrainian and Russian societies and their similarities and contradiction, on study of class interest representation in policy-making process. Research results may be used in public policy-making process directed on market and democracy development, on stimulation of middle classes formation process, on limitation of social inequality and social tension. The outcomes are of interest of social scientists, national and regional public administration and self-government bodies, mass-media.
