Objective - investigation of molecular mechanisms of radiofrequency electromagnetic field effect on bioobjects. Methods of investigation - biophysical, biochemical, radiophysical, and mathematical. The literature review on the modern concepts of radiofrequency electromagnetic field effect on bioobjects of different levels of organization is given. Human blood erythrocytes, model lipid and protein-lipid membranes were chosen as objects to be examined. UHF radiation was found not to exert significant effect on conformational state of hemoglobin and cytochrome c. Fluorescent probe studies revealed marked changes in dynamical properties of model membranes on irradiation. Membrane sensitivity to electromagnetic field appeared to correlate with its content and structural state. Acid resistance of erythrocytes remained unchanged under the influence of UHF radiation.
