The dependence of these properties on the method of their production relates to the degree of changes in the native properties of humates on the extraction. Ammonium humates from chernozem, biohumus, upper and lower, peats and brown coal have been isolated. The optical density of humate solutions consistently increases from biohumus to brown coal.
