Gorky popup.description2 In the given research work the biomechanical phenomena arising in a functioning tooth were investigated on the basis of construction of mathematical model of a tooth with a wedge-shaped defect, and also definition solidity of the characteristics of tissues of a tooth involved in pathological process. In view of experimental data the criteria of operative preparation of a wedge-shaped defect to filling were developed. It has allowed to develop an effective method of treatment of wedge-shaped defects providing measures on preventive maintenance of the further deepening of defect and complications after restoration. The new method of treatment of wedge-shaped defects allows to increase service life of restorations of wedge-shaped defects and to reduce quantity of complications by 40 %.
