Purpose of work: development of economic-based methods of diagnostics, treatment and prophylaxis of viral hepatitis in modern situation in big industrial region Donbass; the estimation of hepatitis' influence on quality of life in different groups. Methods of investigation: clinical, laboratory, immunological, statistical methods, the estimation of life quality, economical methods. The obtained results and newness: as a result of epidemiological and economic analysis high prevalance of parenteral viral hepatitis and low effectiveness of screening for these diseases was ascertained. More effective screening was developed. Viral hepatitis effect on quality of life was demonstrated.
