Study of soil contamination by global falls and as a result of failure on Chernobyl NPP testify that Cs-137 in equilibrium state is found to be mainly in the substantially fixed species. At contamination of soils by the Chernobyl solid-phase radioactive fallouts the ratio of mobile to fixed radionuclide species in soil continuously changed in course of time as a result of transformation processes. The dynamics of Cs-137 mobile species was characterized by achievement of maximum in 1,5-2 years after a failure and subsequent gradual decreasing of their parts. Review of available literature on the modelling of caesium sorption by soils, rocks and separate minerals showed that a great deal of models (mainly that of ionic exchange) for description of caesium sorption is offered for clay minerals. The models of surface complexing mostly are used for modelling of caesium sorption by the oxides (hydroxides) of iron and silicon. The models of physical-chemical sorption of caesium by soils and rocks are practically not available.
