Head Shulik I., Registration Date 09-02-2006 Organization The open joint stock company " The Ukrainian research institute of refractories named A.S.Berezhnoy" popup.description2 The subject of investigation is the rammed mass and phosphate-bonded mortar from zirconia, stabilized by Y2O3 of ca. 10%.The purpose of the work is the production technology reprocessing of the rammed mass and phosphate-bonded mortar from zirconia, stabilized by Y2O3 of ca. 10%. Methods of researches are chemical, petrographic, roentgen-phase analyses of source materials, rammed mass and phosphate-bonded mortar from zirconia, stabilized by Y2O3.As a result of the performed influence investigations of the monoclinic zirconia addition in the amount from 7,5 to 30% on the samples properties factors of the rammed mass, its composition was precised - the addition content of monoclinic zirconia was increased up to 10%. The investigations of the material composition mortar development, analogously to the established optimal composition of the rammed mass, were carried out. As a result of the performed correlation influence investigations of the grain component mortar with maximum grain size of filler 0,5 mmand finegrinded component on its basic properties factors, the mortar was developed, characterized by higher properties factors after burning at 1750 C as compared with those, which were used earlier: displacement strength - 11,5 MPa to 7,5 MPa, compression strength - 95 MPa to 55 MPa. The rammed mass from zirconia, stabilized by Y2O3 of ca. 10%, was developed, which, beginning from 2003, is used for the first time in primary furnaces linings of technical carbon production reactors in Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). Zirconia refractories application in the lining of technical carbon production reactors instead of corundum ones, allowed to increase the technical carbon exit by 1,5-2,0 % and to raise the reactor productivity by 15 %.The test batches of the rammed mass and the mortar from zirconia, stabilized by Y2O3 and CaO, were discharged. To continue the work towards further production technology improvement of the developed mortar and the rammed mass, containing 10% of monoclinic zirconia addition, their production technology mastering, their production volumes enlargement and application points widening.
