The purpose of the work - technology production modification of mullite-corundum rammed masses. Methods of research - physico-chemical, petrographic and thermomechanical. Researches of the grain composition influence of the mass and quantity of added spinel on dry mullite-corundum mass properties on the boronphosphate binder were performed, as a result of which the composition of mullite-corundum spinel-bearing mass of ММКШБФ grade was improved. The test batch of indicated mass, produced in the conditions of OJSC "The Ukrainian research institute of refractories named after A. S. Berezhnoy", passed industrial tests in the induction crucible furnace lining for ferrous-aluminum alloys smelting of LLC "Donets Plant of Ferro-alloys". The mass ramming density improvement of advanced composition and its resistance to ferrous-aluminum alloys effect allowed to increase the furnace lining resistance, carried out from the test mass, by twice (from 423 up to 915 melts) and to reach the imported mass resistance level of corundum-magnesia composition, used on the specified factory (900 melts). The influence of barium sulfate, phosterite and wollastonite additions on rammed masses properties on the phosphate and boronphosphate binders is investigated. The application expediency of barium sulfate addition in the rammed masses composition on the phosphate and boronphosphate binders, as well as introduction of phosterite and wollastonite in the mass composition, containing boronphosphate binder, is shown. The use of indicated additions allows to reduce the adherence (adhesion) of aluminum melt to linings, performed from rammed masses. The application for proposed invention is applied. In OJSC "The Ukrainian research institute of refractories named after A. S. Berezhnoy" the test batches of ММК-88 and ММКШБФ mullite-corundum rammed masses were produced, which were transferred to metallurgic and machine-building organizations of Ukraine. To continue the work towards technology mastering of mullite-corundum rammed masses production, developed compositions and their further improvement.
