The purpose of the work - corundumspinel plugs development of new configurations and their introduction during production and application. Methods of researches - chemical, petrographic, physicomechanical. The construction is developed, combustible elements are picked up and fired corundumspinel purging plugs with splits of thickness equal to 0,125 mm are produced by means of vibrocasting. The material of the indicator for fired corundumspinel plug is picked up. Joint firing of aluminasilica-bonded carbidesilicon indicator with corundumspinel mass at temperature 1580°С allowed to receive their dense contact and absence of the indicator oxidation. Trial lots of purging plugs in height 300, 350, 380 and 450 mm were produced and their application in steel ladles was carried out. The set of the statistical data on plugs purging of various constructions at pressure from 1 up to 3 atm. is performed.
