The purpose of the work - the technology improvement of corundum refractiries for high-temperature area of technical carbon production reactors. Methods of research - chemical, petrographic, spectral, physic-chemical. The trial corundum and corundum containing samples with additions from 1 to 9 % of Cr2O3, ZrO2; silica sand and fused mullite from 4 to 36 % in equivalent from 1 to 9% Sio2 were produced. The samples were fired at 1750 C and properties factors were determined. The researches on stability determination of corundum and corundum containing samples with additions to reduction atmosphere, created by technical carbon and coke at temperatures 1650 and 1750 C were performed. It is shown, that the most stable at 1750 C in the filling from technical carbon are corundum samples from tabular and fused corundum and corundum containing ones with addition of Cr2O3. The stability of mullitecorumdum pressed refractories of МКП-80 grade in technical carbon at 1750 and 1650 C was determined, the decrease of open porosity, weight and volume from surface layers to the sample centre of 60х60х 60 mm size was shown, in corundum refractories these dependences were not revealed. The installation of high-temperature area of technical carbon production reactors by trial exceptionally complex corundum blocks of 17 type sizes was executed. The trial lot of mullitecorundum products of МК-90 grade according to ТУ У 26.2-00190503-254-2004 was produced and directed for installation of technical carbon production reactor lining. The work should be continued towards further technology improvement of mullite corundum and corundum refractories conformably to service conditions in technical carbon production reactors and further application volumes enlargement.
