The purpose of work - the cutting process revision by the diamond tool of chromic oxide refractories. The expected results: the productivity increase of chromic oxide refractories treatment by the diamond tool. The method of the research: investigations of chromic oxide refractory products cutting were carried out on machines of 6Н81 and СРК 500/800 models by diamond detachable circles with various characteristics. Cutability of diamond circles while cutting was determined with the help of specially designed and fabricated device and the ammeter connected to the electromotor, rotating the spindle with the diamond circle. Wear measurement of the diamond detachable circle was determined with the help of a micrometer with a measurement accuracy of 0,01 mm. The carried out investigations on productivity definition and diamond detachable circles resistance, as well as the influence of physic-mechanic properties of chromic oxide refractories on the process of cutting by the diamond tool have shown, that in order to cut chromic oxide refractories it is necessary to apply detachable circles - 1А1К.88, the EXPERT 160, 500/400 М6-14, 50 % of concentrating. The application of diamond detachable circles with the given characteristics allows to receive maximal productivity of 120 sm2/min at minimum consumption of diamonds 1,3 mg/sm2 and spent effective capacity of the electric drive of spindle rotation with diamond detachable circle of 3,65 kilowatt. The obtained statistical data of diamond detachable circles resistance while the output of trial lots of chromic oxide products allow to conclude, that the diamond detachable circles, equipped with natural diamonds of А6 grade, exceed the resistance of detachable circles, equipped with synthetic diamonds of АС 160 grade, in 1,2 times.
