The goal of the work is the final edition of the methodology of calculation of material and technical resources norms for the optimization of inventories for the repair and operating necessities of NJSC "Naftogaz of Ukraine". The method of direct calculation and analytical method for the definition of inventories norms were used for the research purposed. The main tasks of the work are fulfilled in generalization of theoretical thoughts and practical experience of calculation of current, insurance, transport and preparational inventories in natural sizes and money equivalents.
