As a result of numerical experiments the vortical structure of melt flows and distribution of heat in all three planes of a TL bath of various configurations are determined; the effect of thermal convection on homogeneity of a melt which comes in crystallizers is established; recommendations at the choice of design data of the TL and operating modes for maintenance of conditions of uniform filling of CCP crystallizers with liquid metal and to removal of non-metallic inclusions from melt are formulated.
