For the calculation of rated consumption of heat and coke gas all factors were taken into account namely: the temperature of gas and air for heating, temperature in different areas of coke oven, of heat transfer surface, area etc. The information collected allowed to develop the technically grounded rates of gas consumption for heating coke ovens taking into account their structural features and technical state of coke ovens, recommendations for decreasing heat consumption for coking. To calculate the rated consumption of heat for coke oven batteries the NORMAGAZ program was developed, which works in several modes. In the course of work the recommendations, were given directed to the reduction of consumption for heat coking and based on the results of the executed inspection of the existing coke oven batteries.
