Head Drozdnik I.D., Registration Date 26-10-2006 Organization Ukrainian State Researsh Institute for Carbochemistry popup.description2 There were three stages of the work: preparation of the instruction and of working drawings for the device; determination of bulk density for coals of different humidity and grades in the hoppers of different capacity and in the opened stockpiles by the tradition method and in the device; determination of transitional coefficients for bulk density by both methods. The tests were done for the determination of bulk density of ordinary coal and concentrates using the new device. The test bias was determined and the numbers of parallel determinations were grounded. Good repeatability of indices of coal bulk density and high accuracy of the method (variation coefficient) were shown. The volume of the device depending on the biggest lump size and coal humidity was determined by calculation and tests. Transitional coefficients were calculated between indices of blend bulk density determined at the new device and at the hoppers of coke ovens. The unit was constructed for the bulk density of ordinary coals and concentrates, tests are conducted depending on size and humidity of prime materials.
