Head Toryanik E.I., Registration Date 26-10-2006 Organization Ukrainian State Researsh Institute for Carbochemistry popup.description2 The technological parameters for using coke breeze as coal blend additions in blast-furnace coke technology were developed and tested industrially in the coal preparation and coke workshops at OJSC "Zaporozhkoks". The analysis of actual and perspective raw base for coking allowed determining the main requirements to grade and component compositions of a coal blend if coke breeze is used in it. According to these requirements the raw base and the grade composition were developed for the high-caking coal blend at which the addition of different sized coke breeze is possible. At the coke sizing workshops No. 1-2 the screen GGV NPP "SION" was tested with sieves that provide 80-90% of 3 mm fraction. The developed variants of experimental blends with coke breeze were carbonized in coke chambers of coke batteries No.2"bis" and No.5 at the different technological parameters for coking, that allowed developing the rational preparation and coking for the coal blend with coke breeze. The technological parameter- grinding degree - was determined for coke breeze. It was suggested to use the coke breeze of 3-0 mm fraction or dust from a unit of dustless coke pushing.
