Blend briquetting was conducted at the experimental press with the productivity of 15 t/h. It was found that the briquetting with a shift increases the briquette strength and bulk density of a blend after pressing. Raising the bulk density improves the coke mechanical strength in the followings correlations: the 10% increase in blend bulk density results in decreasing the coke abrasion index of M10 by 1% and increasing the grindability index of M25 by 0,5-0,7%. On the basis of the investigations it was established that for high strength and density of briquettes during blend compacting without binders it is necessary to maintain certain technological parameters - level of humidity of the parent blend; degree of blend grinding, presence ofcertain fractions; pressure of briquetting (compacting),.
