For comparison of cleft patients anthropometric analysis with 45 patients without clefts was performed. The aim of second part of SIW was to study disturbance of grows and forming of the maxilla in primary patients suffering from bilateral congenital cleft lip and palate. By this, development of the upper jaw in patients after two stage cheiloplasty of the alveolar process was compared with this in patients operated by accepted earlier one-stage cheiloplasty without plastical operation on alveolar process. When studying models of primary patients, we found out marked disturbances in structure and anatomical peculiarities of the upper jaw. After providing cheiloplasty with periosteoplasty of the alveolar process, normalization of growth and development was evident in 80% of the patients group. When provided cheiloplasty in one stage without periosteoplasty of the alveolar process , post surgical deformation could be seen in 70-80% of patients indifferent age group.
