Construction and working drawings were developed for the device. The tests were done for the determination of bulk density of ordinary coal (10 coals) and concentrates (10 coals) using the new device. Good repeatability of indices of coal bulk density and high accuracy of the method (variation coefficient) were shown. The volume of the device depending on the biggest lump size and coal humidity was determined by calculation and tests. The transitional coefficients were calculated between indices of coal bulk density determined at the new device and at the hoppers of coke ovens. The unit was constructed for the bulk density ofordinary coals and concentrates, tests are conducted depending on size and humidity of prime materials.
