On the basis of the results of the conducted research the quality characteristics of coal concentrates of Ukraine were presented individually for each washery. Indices for vitrinite reflection, volatile matter and thickness properties of the plastic layer were calculated on the basis of the quality data base on coal from the mines included in the raw material base of every washery. Recommendations were worked out on forming the raw material base of washeries and quality indices were predicted for the raw base.
