Samples of anthracite and coal components of the raw material base of coke works were taken. Composition of test blends for carbonisation tests was developed including anthracite. The properties of coke produced were studied. Based on the results obtained the recommendations were developed and offered for the use of anthracite in the raw material base of coke works. On examination of the results of the inspection of the basic divisions at Ukraine coke works the recommendations were developed for organizational and technical measures which could raise the techno-economic and ecological efficiency of coke production.
