It was founded, that in majority of cases hypoholesterolemia is present due to augmentation of low-density lipoproteins clearance as a result of proinflammatory cytokines action. Low cholesterol level is prognostically unfavourable sign in majority of patients, is hight-sensitive sign of pneumonia severity, and is sign, associated with viremia in chronic viral hepatitis with hypoalbuminemia. It is tightly connected with left ventricular dilatation and lowered ejection fraction in patient with IHD, with arrhythmias in myocardial infarction, with severe hemodynamic change, and with lowering of glomerular filtration rate.
