The purpose of the work is the technology improvement of corundum castable for service in black carbon reactors. Methods of researches are chemical, petrographic, roentgenphase analyses of initial components, from which concrete mixes and castables are formed. For raw-material base enlargement, the researches of influence of corundum castable pinch amount (in the interval of 15-50 %) after service in black carbon reactors on the main properties factors of castables samples without or with the addition of 5 % Cr2O3 are carried out. The opportunity of 25 % pinch use instead of electrofused corundum while the preservation of quite high properties factors of castable samples without or with the addition of 5 % Cr2O3 is established. The main properties factors of unfired samples of these castables depending on the hydration curing duration within 3, 7, 28 days, as well as depending on their firing temperature are determined (1400, 1580, 1750 С). Comparative researches of SILIBIT FB 17 addition influence comparing to ADS-1+ADW-1 on the main properties of unfired and fired samples of low cement castables of СКБГ-1, СКБГХ-1, СКБГ-2, СКБГХ-2 grades at service temperatures (1400, 1580, 1750 С) are carried out, and SILIBIT FB 17 addition availability for these grades castables production is established. In OJSC "The Ukrainian research institute of refractories named after A.S. Berezhnoy" trial lots are produced. Produced concrete mixes in the determined amount are transferred to consumers for lining performance of hot face of black carbon reactors. To continue the work towards further technology improvement of corundum concrete mixes production for black carbon reactors; production volumes expansions in OJSC "The Ukrainian research institute of refractories named after A.S. Berezhnoy" of low cement concrete mixes of СКБГ-1, СКБГХ-1, СКБГ 2, СКБГХ-2 grades, as well as the enlargement of their use in lining hot face of black carbon reactors.
